Marketing Study

IRVING, TX – A marketing services company has published a consumer preferences report which reveals that most consumers prefer direct mail over electronic media for most categories of product or service brands.

The 2011 Channel Preference Study is entitled, “The Formula For Success: Preference and Trust” and was undertaken by Epsilon Data Management LLC headquartered in Irving, TX about 30 miles northeast of Fort Worth and about 20 miles northwest of Dallas.

The report focuses on various categories of product and service brands and the different marketing channels used to reach customers. The most effective and trustworthy marketing channel for most product or service category turns out to be direct mail.

Direct Mail Marketing Report Cover

SCHAUMBURG, IL – The marketing services division of the global information services company, Experian, has published a direct mail white paper showing that direct mail continues to be an effective way to reach new customers or reactivate old ones.

The marketing report, entitled “The Direct Marketing Report 2010″, is available from the Experian website as a free download in PDF format.

The report is filled with facts and figures to support its conclusions that there are current marketing trends towards an increase in the use of direct mail in mailing list campaigns.

As mentioned before in previous posts in this blog, direct mail is shown to be most effective when used in a coordinated cross-channel or multi-channel marketing campaign. Mailing list managers who are savvy have figured out that mail order catalogs and traditional mailing pieces are still very effective. PRIMIR Marketing Report

RESTON, VA – Market information and research organization announces the release of a new marketing study on direct marketing.

In the new report entitled, “Trends and Future of Direct Marketing”, The Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization (PRIMIR) commissioned J Zarwan Partners, an outside consulting firm to conduct the study.

According to an April 29, 2011 press release from PRIMIR, the purpose of the study was “to investigate direct marketing and where opportunities exist for the graphic communications industry.”

Customer Loyalty Survey

CINCINNATI, OH – The Loyalty Marketer’s Association (www.loyalty360.org) and SAS (www.sas.com) has published a white paper entitled Customer Loyalty Techniques For Business to Business Marketing Programs.

The report focuses on customer loyalty programs used by business to business (B2B) companies and how they use brand loyalty and repeat sales from existing customers to drive revenue. The survey was conducted in September to October, 2010 on over 250 B2B company executives.

One goal of the survey was to find out the percentage of businesses that actually take advantage of existing customers and are actively using customer loyalty marketing programs designed to tap into this resource.

Another purpose of the survey was to gain some insight into the B2B companies themselves and find out how many companies have formal customer loyalty or marketing retention programs in place.

Zoomerang.com Marketing Report

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Online survey provider, Zoomerang.com has conducted a marketing survey of small to midsized businesses (SMBs) in cooperation with SMB content provider and consultant, GrowBiz Media.

The survey, entitled “Small to Midsized Business Marketing Practices Survey 2010″, was conducted on just over 750 SMBs having fewer than 1,000 employees across the USA. The goal of the survey was to find out how SMBs are using their marketing budgets in 2010, as well as their projections for 2011.

VSS Forecast For 2010-2014

NEW YORK, NY – On August 10, 2010, private equity firm, Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS), announced the release of its Communications Industry Forecast for 2010-2014. The forecast predicts overall growth in the communications industry for the next five years.

The forecast provides a five-year forecast of spending for 2010 – 2014 plus a five-year historical record from 2005 – 2009.

The report is available for purchase, but VSS has provided an article which includes a summary of some of the key points in the report on their website.
